Dental crowns and bridges in Indore

A crown is a cap that restores a broken, weak or root-canal-treated tooth to full strength and a natural look. A bridge uses crowns on neighbouring teeth to replace a missing one.

Profile

What it is

Crowns cover the entire visible part of a tooth. They are used after root canal treatment, for heavily filled or cracked teeth, and to improve the shape or colour of a tooth.

Zirconia and all-ceramic crowns are metal-free, strong and tooth-coloured, so there is no grey line at the gum over time.

How treatment works

  1. 01

    Preparation

The tooth is shaped under local anaesthesia to make room for the crown.

  2. 02

    Impression or scan

The shape is recorded so the crown fits precisely.

  3. 03

    Temporary crown

Protects the tooth while the final crown is made.

  4. 04

    Fitting

The final crown is checked for fit, bite and shade, then cemented.

I recently got crowns done for my front teeth, and I'm extremely satisfied with the entire experience. From the very first consultation, the dentist was professional, patient and explained every step.

Dr. Sohini Jain is an expert in her field. She completed my Root Canal treatment, followed by installation of dental crown, as per the latest/advanced procedure. The entire procedure was almost painless. She also explained the entire procedure and satisfied all the queries, patiently.

Thanks Dr. Sohini & Dr. Brijesh for amazing experience for my father. His tooth extraction was very smooth. He felt no pain after extractions. Even his multiple root canal procedures were well planned and not painful. The crowning was also done easily and without pain.

FAQ

Crowns & Bridges: your questions.

Which crown material is best?

For most back teeth, zirconia offers the best combination of strength and appearance. For front teeth, all-ceramic crowns give the most lifelike translucency. Your dentist will recommend what suits the tooth.

How long do crowns last?

Well-made crowns commonly last many years. Good brushing, flossing and regular check-ups make the biggest difference.
